Love the concept. Love the illustrations. Interesting material and age appropriate. That being said, it needs work.
Rhymes should have meter and a better rhyme scheme for the targeted age group. Each letter should concentrate on one concept only. Example: P is for President Truman yet the entry lists both Walt Disney and Mark Twain. Other entries are very ambiguous. V for vacation but the entry is about Kansas City. Love the picture challenges but wish I could enlarge them. The quiz at the end is a nice touch but should concentrate only on info in the book. Priced too high for Kindle with all it's flaws.

What a wonderful idea for a series of books. This is one of 50 alphabet books; there is one for every state. This one is packed with beautiful illustrations which contain hidden symbols, poetry, and tons of "unique to Missouri" facts. Don't just buy this one....collect them all. They are sure to be a valuable resource for teachers and parents alike. Despite it's ABC format, it is intended for all age groups.

I love each of these songs. Put together the music catches my soul! The love for others is the search and satisfaction of my life. It is beyond sexual love. Listening to this mashup brings together three people who made my life so much richer. They are not physical lovers to me. They are the ones who helped to answer questions which used to torment me. Now the answers to these queries have helped to calm and delight me. Cumming's combining of these songs which had formerly been identified with these friends and reminded me of them united in an anthem which will forever travel with me in my life. I will be eternally grateful to Alan for this work.

The student I tutor liked this book. She read the poetry. I read the facts about our state. I bought copies for my grandchildren too.

book.
I bought this book as a gift for two small children from Australia who would be visiting me in my home state of Missouri. They loved it, plus it spread news about the delightful "Show-me-State."
