I bought this book for my grandaughter who is really into the Horrible Science thing and I had recently bought her the blood, bones and body bits kit so I got her this to go with it. I like how these products make education fun for children, they are learning things like biology which I found heavy going at school and they are playing and having fun at the same time, This book was in excellent condition and contains sections on all the different body parts with things to do and questions at the end of each section and it.

Nick Arnold (born 4 August 1964) is a British writer of science books for children. This book was released alongside Blood, Bones and Body Bits, and the high sales solidified the series. He is best known for the long series Horrible Science, illustrated by Tony De Saulles, and the short series Wild Lives, illustrated by Jane Cope  . In 1998, he broke his arm whilst performing a Horrible Science show. He finished the show and signed books before being rushed to the hospital. In 2004, Arnold became the first British author to tour China.

Bleeurrgh! Blood, bones, brains and body bits. Horrible Science author Nick Arnold has been writing books and stories since he was a lad. Even in those days his favourite subjects for stories were horrible goings-on – the more gruesome the better. So you see, he hasn’t changed a bit. Nick’s first published books appeared several years ago when he was working at the University of North London on a project teaching children about nature.

Based on Scholastic's best -selling Horrible Science books, these Horrible Science kits are exactly that - science with a truly horrible twist. This large box includes a 32 page Top Secret Lab Notebook and is packed full of awesome experiments guaranteed to turn your stomach and blow your mind....create a bulging bag of brains, squirt blood through a heart and make a bottom burp machine. The kid's science books by Nick Arnold are everything you hope for in kid's books. Interesting, funny, good illustration, understandable. Our 8 year old carries them around reading the "good" parts out loud so we can share with her. I highly recommend any of Nick Arnold's books.

Disappointing. Maybe it was my expectations that caused the problem. I expected and hoped it was a humorous discussion that would draw and keep the attention of an 8 yr old, instead its more like a dumbed down text book.

My kids loved the series of these books. I really enjoyed them myself. The book talks in child language and often makes them
laugh or say "Gross!". It makes the information stick in their
minds. Nicely written in a child's point of view.
