Watson Maceo Baldwin was born on month day 1907, at birth place, Georgia, to Joseph Andrew Baldwin and Margaret Baldwin (born McCray). Joseph was born on January 18 1884, in Cuthbert, Randolph County, Georgia. Margaret was born on June 10 1886, in Cuthbert, Randolph County, Georgia. Watson had one brother: Joseph Andrew Baldwin. Watson married Dollie Baldwin (born Mitchell) on month day 1926, at age 18 at marriage place, Florida. Dollie was born on February 28 1907, in Hamilton county, Peeples Township, Bruson South Carolina

Turner’s varied activities indicate wide interests as well as a need to fund his Academy education. Also seen at the gallery were English landscapes, smaller and more intimate than the pictures Turner sent to the Academy. These attracted another collector, the 3rd Earl of Egremont. The flourishing market for landscape and antiquarian topography, whether watercolours for exhibition and sale or reproduction in prints and books, provided his first real income. Fawkes and (mainly in later years) Egremont became friends as well as patrons, their seats at Farnley, Yorkshire and Petworth, Sussex becoming homes from home for Turner.
