St Agnes (Cornish: Breanek) is a civil parish and a large village on the north coast of Cornwall, England, UK. The village is about five miles (8 km) north of Redruth and ten miles (16 km) southwest of Newquay. An electoral ward exists stretching as far south as Blackwater. The population at the 2011 census was 7,565. The village of St Agnes, a popular coastal tourist spot, lies on a main road between Redruth and Perranporth.

During the war there were Airfields at Perranporth to the East, and Nancecuke to the West, encampments of Americans waited here for D Day, based at St Agnes Head. American planes swept overhead from Nancekuke, Spitfires flew from Perranporth. I have been chairmen of this organisation for many years, this project is being developed across the community with many local organisations.
St Agnes' Church is a parish church in the Church of England located in St Agnes, Isles of Scilly, UK. The Anglican church is dedicated to St Agnes of Rome. The first church was built in the sixteenth or seventeenth century, but it was destroyed in a gale. It was rebuilt in the eighteenth century, but was again destroyed. The current building was built by the islanders in the nineteenth century using the proceeds of the sale of a wreck, and the bell in the church was taken from that wreck.

The village is situated approximately five miles (8 km) north of Redruth and ten miles (16 km) southwest of Newquay. Historically, St Agnes and the surrounding area relied on fishing, farming and mining for copper and tin. At their height about 100 mines employed 1000 miners. Mining came to an end in the 1920s and many of these mines are still on view for any tourists.
