This is the fourth book I’ve read by Ms. Disney – believe it must have been one of her first because it was ok but not as good as the other one’s I had read! And, yet once I got in to it, I finished it and wanted to see how it ended!.

I've been meaning to read Doris Miles Disney for some years, and a "Cry For Help" just seemed as good a place as to start, but this is just a paint-by-numbers story, and little more than a novella. Cry For Help" probably would have made a decent made-for-tv, throw-away movie in the seventies, but is justifiably forgotten today, as it never even made it to paperback. Disney is reported to have done some stellar stuff in her past, but this is the second to last of her books to be published, and is for Disney completests only

I have always enjoyed reading her books since I read my first one in the eighties. this book arrived in an average amount of time and was in okay condition, but not excellent. However, I do realize it is an old book

Of the four Doris Miles Disney books I've read, this one was the worst. Had it been my first I would have never read another one ----it was difficult to follow, not enough depth of character and on occasion you were lost in details you didn't really need. Even when it ended I felt there was loose ends not tied up. Doris Miles Disney is a wonderful suspense mystery writer and this one was just a little disapointing. But I did finish it!
