This is my first return to history since graduating from college in 1972 and my, oh, my has it changed. No longer dates and kings and wars, this book is about life as it was thought and lived. One can see the evolving of humanity over time. Also - well written and designed for easy reading. Luv it!

This book, while it has interesting information, is hard to read and is formatted poorly. The book is hard for any high shcooler to grasp.

I literally can not deal with this book. It's all over the place. It goes to talking about the 15th century to the 13th in a page. I don't understand why anyone would like this book. I actually wanted to give it no stars. You will fall asleep while reading this book.

While maybe not for high schoolers, if you are a college student, this book is well formatted and organized and includes helpful maps, pictures, and supplemental readings. Not that it matters, if you're assigned this book in the first place.
