Criminology is the study of crime, as indicated by the formative Latin terms crimin (accusation or guilt) and -ology (study of). As an intellectual domain, criminology comprises contributions from multiple academic disciplines, including psychology, biology, anthropology, law, and, especially, sociology. Although the defining statements of criminology are rooted across these diverse areas, contemporary criminology is becoming ever more intertwined with still additional sciences and professional fields such as geography, social work, and public health.

We see the curriculum in terms of what teachers do and what children learn from it, namely experience and understanding. Nowadays, most college programs are in the form of what is called liberal arts. Our goal is to make children learn and our aim is to provide the ideas and information they will encounter. In liberal arts education, the emphasis is placed on literacy in science, appreciation of arts, the development of critical thinking and an understanding of our own and other cultures. It is aimed at giving the students a broad-based education.
