Curtis Daniel MacDougall (1903 - 1985) was an American journalist, teacher and writer. MacDougall was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He obtained a BA in English from Ripon College in 1923 and a Master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University in 1926). In 1933, he received his PhD in sociology from the University of Wisconsin. He joined the Northwestern faculty in 1935. MacDougall worked for the St. Louis Star-Times and United Press International
