After the war he obtained a BSc in Astronomy, and then took an administrative post at the secretariat of The Royal Society. While there he did an MSc in the History and Philosophy of Science under Herbert Dingle at University College London.

I have a degree in it. I enjoy learning about history Not so with this work by Colin A Ronan. I enjoy learning about history. This book might just be the worst piece of literature on the subject. First, this book is mostly about philosophy and religion, with very little on actual scientific discoveries. Ronan is a clown, and this book is his circus. Not so with this work by Colin A Ronan. Readers are able to logically follow the development of scientific ideas throughout the ages.
