I do not like "horror" books and always thought that's what Frankenstein, by Shelley, was. Then, as a teacher of a homebound student who was assigned to read the book, I had to read it. To my surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed it!! We so often hear the "scarey" parts, but there is so much more to the full story than that! This edition also has interesting readings to give background to the writing of the book. When my student and I returned our copies of the book to the school, I decided I wanted my own copy to have in my library, so I bought this edition. It was a good decision!
